KENDALL UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
(Women Organized for Mission)
April is Heifer month! And UMW is a proud sponsor! Besides the typical Easter animals like - rabbits, chicken, and ducks - there are many others. “They change the lives of a family in need who receives the livestock your gift Heifer provides”.
Heifer International is a nonprofit, humanitarian organization dedicated to ending hunger and poverty, and who care for the Earth. Since 1944, Heifer has pursued its mission by providing livestock and training in environmentally sound agriculture to those with genuine need. Peace Circle will be collecting and sending your donation to Heifer. They will have gift cards for everyone you surprise with a chick or llama for Easter!
Please see insert for a list of gifts. Thank you!

Join us in providing Easter dinners for needy families in South Dad The Mae Rabe Migrant Ministry, one of the oldest ministries at Kendall Church, will be putting together Easter dinners for migrant families and others in need in the Homestead area. These are families who unfortunately cannot afford one. You can donate a whole dinner for $30 or ANY monetary donation would be greatly appreciated. Please make checks to KUMC indicating 'Migrant Dinners' in the memo. We also collect canned food, beans, rice, etc to add to the dinners. Kumc Habitat Blitz Build Volunteer Days
The annual Habitat for Humanity Blitz Build is coming up soon. Habitat will build 10 houses in 12 days, and KUMC has two volunteer days during the event. The first is Saturday, February 18th, and the second is Friday, February 24th. We are tentatively slotted for exterior painting on the 18th, and trim and touch-up on the 24th. The work site is just a few miles south of the church. No skill or experience is required, just a heart for service. If you are interested, please contact Scott Norberg after the service or at (305) 984-9682.
We are also seeking donations that will help fund the construction of one of the Blitz Build houses – the Faith House. Please make your check payable to KUMC with ‘Habitat’ on the memo line.
